Christmas lofi, instrumental
Instrumental Christmas lofi, honestly described
This is lofi, not carols: warm, mellow instrumentals with a Christmas mood. There are no vocals, so it works as instrumental Christmas music for conversation, studying, baking, sleeping and streaming. It is family-safe and ad-free, and every track is an original by Purrple Cat.
Only 22 of the 112 tracks come from Purrple Cat’s two Christmas albums, Snowbound and Ice Palace. The rest is cozy winter-night lofi. The stations tell you which is which, and the Non-Stop station plays the Christmas albums about twice as often.

Questions
Christmas music radio FAQ
What is Christmas Music Radio?
A non-stop lofi Christmas radio. Press play and it keeps playing shuffled Purrple Cat tracks, one after the other, for as long as you leave it on. There are seven stations, a sleep timer and a countdown to Christmas. It is not a live broadcast: it is a never-ending shuffle that runs in your browser.
Is it really non-stop?
Yes. When a track ends the next one starts, and when a station has played every track it reshuffles and carries on, so it never runs out. If you want it to stop, use the sleep timer.
Is this Christmas music radio free?
Yes. It streams free with no sign-up and no ads, and every track has a free MP3 download. The music is by Purrple Cat and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0).
Is it all Christmas songs?
No, and we’d rather be honest about that. Purrple Cat’s two Christmas albums are Snowbound and Ice Palace, 22 tracks in all. The rest of the rotation is cozy winter-night lofi from other records, so there is enough to keep a station running for hours. In the Non-Stop Christmas mix, the Christmas albums play about twice as often. There are no vocals and no traditional carols.
Which station should I pick?
For a party or an open tab all December, Non-Stop Christmas. For reading, Cozy Fireside. For studying, Study by the Tree. For falling asleep, Sleep Before Santa with the sleep timer on.
Does the music keep playing when I move around the site?
Yes. The player stays at the bottom of the page, so you can browse the stations, the library and the FAQ without the music stopping.
Can I use this music in my Christmas videos and livestreams?
Yes, with credit. Use it on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and all social media, in videos and livestreams. Add the credit “Music by Purrple Cat”.
Will my videos get Content ID claims?
No. The music is not registered with Content ID, so your videos, streams and VODs won’t be claimed for it.
Can I upload the music to Spotify or Apple Music?
No. The music must never be uploaded to music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer or Tidal. That includes remixes, samples and covers of it.
Who makes the music?
Purrple Cat, an independent lofi project making music since 2018, with 500+ songs. Every track here is an original instrumental.
Is this a 24/7 Christmas radio?
It is always on: open it at any hour and it plays until you stop it, and a station never runs out. It is not a live broadcast, though. By default the order is a shuffle that runs in your browser. If you want everyone to hear the same thing at the same moment, use the On air page, where every station follows a clock-based schedule.
What is instrumental Christmas music?
Christmas music without vocals: no singing and no lyrics. Everything on this radio is an original instrumental by Purrple Cat, so it is lofi with a Christmas mood rather than a set of carols.
Is it family-safe?
Yes. There are no vocals, so there are no lyrics, and there are no ads on this site. Nothing needs a sign-up.
What does On air mean here?
On air is a synchronised schedule: the track that is playing on each station is worked out from the clock, so two people on the same station hear the same track at about the same time. It is calculated in your browser, not a live DJ or a broadcast. There is also a daily programme of eight three-hour blocks.
Can I add fireplace, snow wind or rain sounds?
Yes. The Ambience button in the player bar adds fireplace crackle, snow wind or rain on a window. They are generated in your browser from noise, not played from audio files. They are off until you switch them on, have their own volume and stop when the sleep timer ends.
Is there an overlay for streamers?
Yes. The overlay page gives you a link for an OBS browser source that shows the track that is playing, with the Purrple Cat credit line, and can play the music too.
