Free Christmas music for streams and videos
Every track on this radio is by Purrple Cat and free to use in videos and livestreams under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You need one thing from your side: credit. Here is exactly how to do it.
What you can do
- Use the music in YouTube videos and Shorts, TikToks, Instagram Reels, Facebook videos and any other social media post.
- Play it in Twitch, YouTube or other livestreams, including the stream’s VODs.
- Use it in games, apps, podcasts, school projects, in-store displays and parties.
- Download the MP3s from the library, or open a station’s M3U8 playlist in a media player.
CC BY 4.0 also allows commercial use, so a monetised video is fine as long as the credit is there.
The credit line
Put this wherever people can read it: the video description, the stream’s info panel, a pinned chat message or an end card. Copy it with the button.
Music by Purrple CatIf you use a lot of tracks, you can credit once for the whole project (“Music by Purrple Cat”) and add the licence link. It helps to include the track title too when you can.
What not to do
- Please don’t upload this music to music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer or Tidal.
- That includes remixes, samples and covers of it on those services.
Content ID
Purrple Cat has not registered this music with Content ID, so these tracks aren’t claimed from our side. If a claim ever shows up on a video that uses them, it didn’t come from Purrple Cat. Keep a link to this site and the licence so you can show where the music is from.
A now-playing overlay for OBS
If you stream, the overlay page gives you a browser-source link that shows the track that is playing, with the credit line under it. It can even play the music itself, so you don’t need to run anything else.
Which mix fits a stream?
For a stream starting soon screen, 2 Hour Christmas Lofi Playlist or 3 Hour Christmas Lofi Playlist gives you 43 or 64 tracks with no repeats. For a long stream, the radio itself never stops, and the Non-Stop Christmas station reshuffles when it reaches the end. Open On air if you want your viewers and you to hear the same track at the same time.

Questions
Do I have to ask permission to use the music?
No. The licence is already the permission: use it, add the credit “Music by Purrple Cat” and you’re done.
Can I use the music in a monetised video?
Yes. CC BY 4.0 allows commercial use as long as you credit Purrple Cat. Uploading it to music streaming services is the one thing to avoid.
Do I have to credit every single video?
Yes, each place you use the music needs the credit near it. A description line is enough for most platforms.
